I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Regierungspräsidium Freiburg!

Within the institutional setup of the Land Baden-Württemberg, the Regierungspräsidium is an authority situated between the Land’s federal government and ministries on the one hand and the local district authorities and municipalities on the other hand. Its principal task is to pool and coordinate manifold tasks in nearly all spheres of life, as diverse as building and construction industries, agriculture, environmental protection, water management, police protection and the construction of roads.

As a partner of Land and region we aim to actively integrate our citizens into the decision-making process. It is our declared goal, to inform them at the earliest possible date about important projects, so that we can work together constructively. Collectively, we can develop solutions which take both the community and the environment into consideration and which are supported by everybody involved.
